Yelam-Bui 'Afternoon'

This piece was created as part of my first solo exhibition entitled 'GAANBONA' meaning Bright & Colourful in Taungurung language of the Eastern Kulin Nations.

Artwork Story

Yelam-Bui ‘Afternoon’ is a vibrant celebration of the warmth and beauty of Country during the afternoon sunset. The rich orange and yellow tones symbolise the glow of sunlight as it bathes the land, while the deep blue river winding through the artwork, represents the life of the land and its connection to community and Country. This piece invites the viewers to reflect on the harmony and vitality of the land during this time of day.
