This piece was created as part of my first solo exhibition entitled 'GAANBONA' meaning Bright & Colourful in Taungurung language of the Eastern Kulin Nations.
Artwork Story
Gombruk 'Spring' is a celebration of new beginnings and the vibrant energy of Country during September - November. The rich blues represent flowing waterways nourished by the season, while the warm pinks, purples and yellow symbolise the blooming flora and the warmth of the sun over Country. This artwork reflects the spirit of spring as a time of abundance, renewal, and connection.
