In June 2023, Aimee had the pleasure of designing and painting a mural with the incredible Senior Student Leadership Group of Euroa Secondary College. The students really wanted to celebrate the Traditional lands in which they live, work and play.
This experience highlighted the importance of teaching the next generation about Victorian Aboriginal culture and how art can be used to celebrate, respect and acknowledge First Nations People’s, Communities and cultures.
Aimee said "To work with the next generation and to hear their desire to have Victorian Aboriginal culture in the school is just incredible and it honestly makes my heart full not only as an artist but as a proud Aboriginal woman and community member".
In September 2023, Aimee attended the unveiling of the mural and conducted a Welcome to Country for the Euroa Secondary College staff and students.
